The project is supported by Economic Education and Research Consortium (EERC) and UNDP and is jointly implemented with Applied Research Network (ARN) — Central Asia and Economic Policy Institutes Network (EPIN)

Project Summary:

The objectives of the project is to build the institutional and human capacity of education, research and policy institutes to respond to applied research needs of the local policy makers and civil society organizations and to participate in a larger region-wide network of institutes and individuals. These initiatives will contribute to strengthening the linkages between the business, government and research and education communities.

The individual research capacity building program will consist of two components:
(a) training;
(b) distance learning and mentored research.

Project Output:

In the framework of the project a program of training is developed and a set of related training materials (including a literature compilation — chapters from books/papers and bibliography; datasets and software; individual or small group assignments, and test) designed to strengthen the capacity of junior researchers to conduct policy analysis for the needs of their local governments and civil society.
