Developing approaches to the assessment of non-credit financial institutions and relevant market sectors as exemplified by insurance companies and insurance sector | 21-10-2015
Project Dates: June 2015 — October 2015

The project is implemented for the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

Project Goal:

The research aims to develop a scientifically proven methodology on assessing the development of insurance companies and insurance sector of the Russian Federation as one of the sectors of non-credit financial institutions.

Project objectives:

To achieve this goal the following objectives should be implemented:
  • analyzing approaches to working out systems for assessing the insurance sector development (including quantitative indicators) in the world;

  • formulating the goals of the insurance sector regulation in the Russian Federation, which must be taken into account in this study;

  • evaluating the applicability of existing methods of assessment of the insurance sector development in Russian;

  • analyzing the adequacy of the data base meant for working out system for the assessment of insurance sector development in the Russian Federation;

  • providing preliminary proposals on the system of development indicators for the insurance sector in Russia;

  • providing proposals on the composition of additional information necessary for working out system for the assessment of insurance sector development (including quantitative indicators), and the methods of its production.
